Hoist with own petard

Twas I alone that honed the edge of the foil that pierced my soul
To me the task doth lay before to suture this bloody wound
Intent of mind and purpose driven advancing  toward a goal
Blind and deaf but most determined actions seem profound

Amused by that which I create by blaming points beyond
My wonder and amazement grows as what I despise appears
Frustration mounts and fury’s rage at what I am not fond
Mid task I stop abrupt and sure attempting to switch gears

The rule is pure and simple though, believe and it is so
Create events with ease and grace by knowing them to be
The end results elude my sight in spite of what I know
My intellect doth tell that these gifts are here for me

Why then does one struggle with eternal angst and need
How will my insight aid my soul till the journey is no more
The answer lies within my mind and the soul I do not feed
The forest is within the trees, and life’s’ outside my door

Events will not be wrought upon but drawn by my request
There is no blame to cast about, I’ve fashioned this design
I may at times think there’s no more, I’ve given it my best
Lest I realize to step aside and struggle less, results will then be mine

Whether I wish to admit it or not; what I am experiencing was created, attracted and summoned by ME!

We create our reality through continued focus and conviction. “As a Man Thinketh, so shall he be”
